Keeping Wedding Guest List Under Control
Just in the last month, two more friends of mine got engaged and set dates in 2010.
Now a lot of our shared friends (myself included) are sitting there wondering if we are going to get invited. After all, weddings aren't just stressful for those planning them. Guests have to budget for gifts, new dresses, tux rentals and travel expenses.
So the question is how do you help keep your guest list under control and how do you decide who makes the cut? A lot of my friends have lived in multiple cities, have large extended families or went to multiple colleges, so I'm sure that things can get unruly pretty quickly.

I'm probably the worst person to ask, because I didn't invite anyone to my wedding. For me, this bond was only about my husband and I, and I didn't want to share it with anyone else.
Assuming most people aren't as private or selfish about their love as I am, I would say limit your guest list to those people who are an important part of your everyday life. They are the people that you email when important little things happen, call to check up on and get together with when possible. The people who enhance your existence.
