I hate cooking. Okay, so I don't actually hate cooking--I just hate the burden of being relied on to provide food to others. I don't know why...

Anyway, I found these Bird's Eye steamer meals that are really good. They have meat and veggies and you just put the whole package in the microwave and heat it up--perfect dinner for two.

What are your cheap, easy dinner ideas?

I like those meals as well but my husband grew up on Lebanese food and has a hard time adjusting to the "we need something quick" method. I have to agree that I worry about eating too much processed food but I think more and more companies are getting the hint that more and more people need and have to eat better because of their health. So anyway, thank you for your post. I have to go shopping tomorrow after work to feed our family of 6 (4 of us humans), our dog and our cat. Yes they too are our babies! ...and so I will again try the Bird's Eye steamer meals. I like them myself! Then when I have time, I will cook Lebanese food and I think hubby and kids will be satisfied.

Speaking of pets and preservatives--Fancy Feast just came out with a new food...I Think it's called Appetizer or something. It's supposed to have fewer fillers. I stopped using Fancy Feast when I found that some of the company's products had Melamine in them (not Fancy Feast directly but their parent company) but may go back to them to try this. Of course, my cats won't eat Iams or Science Diet like they should.

I don't know anything about Lebanese food. What are the basic components?
