Are your kids applying to more state schools?
This weekend, we were headed out of the grocery store with ice cream, while one of my neighbors, whom we hadn't seen for several weeks, was rushing in to buy some watermelon. In our very brief conversation, we asked about her son who we knew is only a few days away from graduating from highschool. She named some of the schools that he is considering and explained that many of the state schools are absolutely jammed with applications due to the condition of the economy and the rising cost of tuition.
